More Information

We welcome children from 3 months to 4 years, with dedicated spaces and care tailored to each age group.

  • Nursery: 3 months – 2 years

  • Ski Kindy: 2 – 4 years

Food is provided for Ski Kindy (2 - 4 years). Morning and afternoon tea is provided for nursery (3 months - 2 years), but please pack their lunch.

The centre is completely nut-free, and we are able to cater for most other allergies. Please let us know at the time of booking. You are welcome to bring your own food if you would like.

  • A favourite toy or blanket

  • Outside clothing

  • Snow boots

Ski lessons are available to add on for children aged 2+. Private lessons are available for 1 or 2 hours and group lessons for 3 hours.

Ski Kindy lessons also include free rental equipment.

We know every child is different, especially our youngest guests.

  • Under 2s follow their normal home routine as closely as possible

  • Sleep times, feeding, and comfort needs are all personalised

  • Our team will work with you to ensure a smooth transition

Your child’s safety and wellbeing is our top priority.

  • Fully qualified and experienced childcare educators

  • Ministry of Education adult to child ratios are adhered to (1:10 for over 2's and 1:5 for under 2's). However, we aim to have 1:6 for over 2's and 1:3 for under 2's.

What will their day look like?

A day at Ski Kindy

Every day looks a little different because every child is different. A typical day includes:

  • Arrival: Children are welcomed in the morning and gently settled with the support of our team, whether that’s joining an activity, reading, or quiet play.

  • Ski lessons (optional): Some children with lessons booked will head out on snow for their group or private ski lesson.

  • Play & activities: Throughout the day, children enjoy a mix of indoor play, creative activities, and time to relax.

  • Outdoor time: Daily outdoor play in the snow playground is always offered, giving children a chance to enjoy the mountain environment.

  • Meals: Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are all provided.

  • Rest time: For children who usually sleep as part of their day, this is offered after lunch.

A balanced day of play, care, and mountain fun, at a pace that suits each child.

We work to Ministry of Education ratios which are 1:10 for Over 2's and 1:5 for Under 2's. However, we aim to have 1:6 for Over 2's and 1:3 for Under 2's.

Group lessons for under 5s are best suited for mature 4-year-olds who are ready to learn with others.

Equipment is included for the duration of the lesson. Pick up directly from us in Ski Kindy.

Your child's group lessons will include ski rentals fitted by an instructor, ski games, and inclusive team environment, snow play and snacks!

Lessons depend on weather and energy levels, if the mountain is open and the kids are keen the lessons will run!

Yes! Our aim is to offer all children outside play if the weather and conditions allow.

Groups have a maximum of four kids of the same age and level.
