Why your first day belongs at TC

A beginner slope that feels beginner-friendly. You’ll find one of the quietest beginner slopes in the country. Fewer people means more room to practice the basics without feeling rushed. Breathe, look up, and let your feet figure it out.

Private or group lessons, your pace, your call. Keen on one-on-one coaching? Or keen to learn with mates? Take your pick. A quick lesson early unlocks a whole day of wins.

Snack breaks with a proper backdrop. When you pause, you’re looking over Lake Wānaka and the Southern Alps. Training wheels feel better when the view’s doing most of the talking.

Kea cameos. Keep an eye out for our clever alpine neighbours, they love to cause mischief around the car park and across the slopes. 2. Day 3–4: Cardrona: Add mileage on Cardrona’s forgiving groomers to bank confidence. Two mountains = more ways to learn, and that shared “biggest playground” means it all clicks faster.

3. Back to TC: Come home for that Triple Treat run. Legs ready, smile locked.

4. Then keep going: When you’re ready for longer laps, TC’s famous leg-burners are waiting, and yes, the runs really do feel like they go on forever.
