A chairlift silhouetted against a cloudy sky carries several mountain bikes. The bikes are secured on a specialized rack attached beneath the seat of the lift.

Rental Hints & Tips

  • Wear mid-shin socks, or better yet, invest in knee pads. They’ll prevent sore shin bashes against pedal pins.

  • Bring layers – even though it’s summer and the day might be sunny; we’re still an alpine environment and the air temperature is cool.

  • Think about shorts vs pants. There are benefits to both, but the main consideration is how hot your legs can get versus protection.

  • Goggles are surprisingly useful. We operate in a dry environment, and though the trails are maintained, it means it can sometimes get dusty!

  • Pack your pockets with snacks or get a riding pack. Even with an assisted uplift, riding downhill all day is tiring and you’ll want to refuel!

"Really awesome bike trails!"

Best example of a park with the 'Whistler' model done right - awesome skiing in the winter and a fully complete bike park in the summer. Love the ride down to the Cardrona pub too!

You must wear a helmet when riding a bike full stop, but we always recommend full-face helmets when you’re riding downhill. Especially at Cardrona!
