Last updated 13 August

Last weekend delivered in a big way, with a surprise powder day up at Treble Cone and a fresh top-up at Cardrona. This weekend's picking up where it left off - another layer of snow, frosty mornings, and enough events to fill your whole weekend. Fair weather skiers, Sunday's the pick: clear skies, cool temps.

Weather:

  • Friday 14 August: Clear easing to some cloud through the day, winds up to 10km/h. High 2°C

  • Saturday 15 August: Light snow through the day, easing to snow showers overnight, winds up to 10km/h. High 0°C

  • Sunday 16 August: Clearing to a fine day, winds up to 10km/h. High -5°C

According to Snow-Forecast, Friday stays mild and mostly settled before light snow moves in Saturday, topping up the base through the day and overnight. Sunday clears up nicely but temperatures take a proper dive, dropping well below freezing overnight - so it'll be a stunner of a day but rug up for it.

Pack your layers, bring your favourite lens, and keep an eye on the morning Snow Report before you head up.

Food and Beverage Highlights

  • TC Cafe: The breakfast burritos are famous for a reason. Best for a swift and tasty refuel so you can get back on the slopes faster.

  • The View: Best views, cold drinks, and that feeling you only get at 1600m.

  • The Mezz: Quality restaurant eats if you're after a slower start. Best benny in the district (we’re not biased).

  • Base Bar: We have a fun special this weekend: Cheeseburger Bagel! Don’t knock it before you try it…

  • Captain’s Pizzeria: Ski-in / ski-out eatery with some of the best views on the mountain, a fully stocked bar and Cardrona-famous pizza
