The Cardrona Crown: How to join, track and win

Your guide to taking part in The Cardrona Crown challenge. Learn how to track your rides, join the challenge, climb the leaderboard, and compete for exclusive prizes!

Think you've got what it takes to rule Cardrona's slopes this winter?

The Cardrona Crown is our season-long challenge to find the skier or snowboarder who racks up the most vertical metres at Cardrona over the course of the season.

Every lap counts. From first chair to last run, every metre you clock brings you up the leaderboard and one turn closer to claiming the Crown.

Be in to win: How to take part

Getting involved is easy:

  1. Download the app to your phone

  2. Create an account (or log in if you already have one)

  3. Turn on activity tracking when you start your day on the mountain

  4. Turn off activity tracking when you finish riding for the day

The app works similarly to Strava, using your phone's GPS and location services to track your activity. Make sure you've enabled location permissions in your phone settings to ensure your vertical metres are recorded correctly.

To appear on the leaderboards, your profile must be set to Public.

Once your profile is public and you're tracking your activities, your enrolment in the The Cardrona Crown challenge is automatic! From there, every tracked run will count towards your season total.

What's up for grabs?

The skier or rider who tops the leaderboard at the end of the season won't just earn bragging rights.

The 2026 Cardrona Crown winner will take home a one-of-a-kind North Face Duffel Bag, complete with exclusive 2026 Cardrona Crown patch, and stuffed full of Cardrona and The North Face merchandise.

One season. One Crown. Who's taking it home?

We reserve the right to amend, suspend, extend or cancel any Challenge, or vary its rules, prizes or eligibility criteria, at any time and without prior notice.
