Winter 2025 Compendium
We close for mountain activities at 4pm and the mountain access road is closed from 11pm - 5am. If you’d like to build a snowman or make some snow angels in the Courtyard, go for it! We ask that guests please do not move further onto the mountain than the red archway after 5pm for your own safety. This will help Ski Patrol complete their sweep of the mountain at the end of the day and the groomers will be able to make fresh cord without any unexpected surprises! Please respect that this is an alpine environment and while fun is good, safety is the main priority. If you plan on driving down the mountain for the evening please call our night concierge on +64 27 223 3828.
Check out is strictly 10am. Please return your apartment keys and vehicle sign to the apartments front desk in the ticket office. We’ll endeavour to visit you the evening before or on the morning of your departure. Please phone the front desk if you need a hand with your luggage. Late checks outs will incur a fee.
In winter, our fully licensed Ski Kindy is available for your kids aged 3 months – their 5th birthday. Pre-bookings are essential; you can book online or email skikindy.bookings@cardrona.com. During your stay you can dial 9 ext 9134 from your apartment to contact the Kindy team from 8am – 4.45pm. Over 5’s can be taken care of in our Snow Sports School programs. If you haven’t already booked them in, visit the team in our Slopeside Ticket Office to talk about lessons for your older children.
There is always someone on site to chat to. Our Ticket Office is open from 8am – 5pm during the day. If the Ticket Office is unattended or it’s after hours, you can reach the evening concierge by dialling (1) 027 223 3828 from your apartment phone.

To make an outside call please press 1 and wait for the dial tone to change before entering the phone number.
During winter, we have a medical centre running with Ski Patrol, a nurse, a physiotherapist and a doctor.
If you’re feeling under the weather, you can go see them right here on the mountain! A good idea is to put the medical centre’s direct phone number (+64 3 443 1576) into your phone in case you spot an accident when you’re out and about on the mountain.
In the event of a fire alarm, please leave the building immediately through your nearest fire exit. Please progress to the muster point at the silver barrier at the edge of the carpark. Do not re-enter the building until instructed by a Cardrona staff member. We take all fire alarms seriously and appreciate your full cooperation.
If you discover a fire please break the glass on the closest alarm and activate it. There is an alarm in the main entrance doorway to your apartment. Then head directly to the designated are. Please refer to the fire and safety map on the back of your entrance door or speak to a staff member if you are unsure. If inside your apartment in the event of an earthquake, please “drop, cover and hold”. If outside, stay in open areas away from any man-made structure or natural hazard like rocks. If driving, pull over and stay in the vehicle until shaking stops.
To prevent fire evacuations please use the overhead extractor fan while cooking and refrain from using the bathroom heater overnight. In case of emergency, we encourage you to keep sensible shoes near the door.
We have several cafes open during the day in the Base area, including Base Café, Base Bar, The Mezz, Noodle Bar, and the Lounge. Ski into Captain’s Pizzeria to grab a quick bite, delicious slice of pizza, or coffee away from the hustle and bustle of the Base.
Evening dining is available on select nights: Noodle Bar is open Tuesdays and Saturdays, and The Mezz is open Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. There are no evening restaurant services on Mondays or Thursdays.
Planning to dine at The Mezz? Book your table here or simply ask the Apartments team — we’re happy to make restaurant bookings for your evening meals.
See here for all our on-mountain Café and Restaurant options.
Need the basics? We’ve got milk, bread, and butter available for purchase - just give us a call on 027 223 3828.
The Cardrona cushions and blankets in your apartment are available to purchase in Cardrona Corner, along with heaps of other Cardrona furnishing. The Cardrona Shop downstairs also sells heaps of cool stuff – make sure you check it out before you go!
At Cardrona there are no public-facing landfill bins in common areas, but we appreciate that you may need access to bins during your stay. There is a rubbish bin and a recycling bin in your apartment; please use the appropriate bin for your waste. If there is a washer/dryer in your apartment laundry, please follow the instructions for the use of the machines; laundry powder is provided.
