Cardrona Sightseeing Passes

McDougall’s Chondola takes around four minutes to reach the top of Cardrona.

It always helps to bring a bag with water, sunscreen and windproof/waterproof layers for a day riding at Cardrona. Mountain conditions can change rapidly and it always helps to be prepared.

Definitely! At base, you’ll find rentals, a workshop, patrol, and Noodle Bar which will be our food and beverage outlet for the summer, as well as local wines and craft beers to celebrate the end of the hike.

The gondola only runs during the summer mountain biking season. This year, the season is:  December 13, 2025 - March 1, 2026.

Yes, we love dogs at Cardrona during summer! We just have a few simple rules. Dogs are welcome in the carpark, base area, and on walking tracks, but must be leashed or crated. Dogs can ride the gondola as long as the accompanying person has a valid pass and we ask that owners feel comfortable to pick up/hold their dog in the unlikely case of a lift evacuation.

For safety reasons, dogs aren’t permitted in the operational Bike Park (any bike or carting trails when open).

Certified disability assist dogs, and working dogs under the supervision of Cardrona staff or rescue personnel are the only exceptions to these rules.
