Your first days on snow, sorted
3 Day First Timer Programme
A First Timer Programe is designed specifically for those who have never skied or snowboarded before. You’ll learn alongside others at the same level and progress step by step.
Three days of 4.5 hour first timer group lesson at Cardrona or Treble Cone
Learning with the same instructor for each day
Rental set of skis, boots and poles or snowboard, boots and wrist guards
Rental helmet
Three day learner lift pass
Need clothing and accessories?
Upgrade to the First Timer Complete Programme to include jacket, pants, goggles and gloves and be ready to step straight onto snow.

Childcare & Ski Kindy
Enjoy a full day on the slopes knowing your little ones are in safe hands. Cardrona's fully licensed Childcare Centre welcomes children from 3 months to 4 years, with caring educators, dedicated spaces, and plenty of indoor and outdoor mountain adventures. For older toddlers, optional ski lessons can introduce them to the snow while you make the most of your day on the mountain.
For ages 3 months – 4 years: Dedicated nursery and Ski Kindy programmes tailored to every stage
Optional ski lessons: Add a private or group ski lesson for children aged 2+ to help build confidence on snow
Fully licensed childcare: Experienced educators, purpose-built facilities, and personalised care so you can relax and enjoy your day
Flexible mountain days: Drop off, pick up, or check in on your little ones throughout the day
Play, learn and explore: A balanced day of snow play, creative activities, outdoor adventures and rest at a pace that suits each child

Skip the drive and start your mountain day the easy way. Our bookable bus service operates from Queenstown and Wānaka with convenient pick-up locations, so you can relax on the journey and arrive ready to ski or ride.
Depart from Queenstown or Wānaka: Daily return bus services to Cardrona and Treble Cone throughout the season
Multiple pick-up locations: Choose from a range of convenient stops across both towns
More time on snow: Collect your lift pass and rental gear in town before boarding, so you can head straight to the slopes on arrival
