Student passes are available to those 18+ years enrolled in full-time tertiary education in AUS or NZ. Part-time students will not be eligible.

If you’re over 18 and studying part-time, you’ll need to purchase an adult pass instead. You can help spread the cost of a season pass with our interest-free payment plans.

Yes! So long as you’re studying full-time for at least 32 weeks of the year and can provide proof.

You must be completing tertiary study at either an Australian or New Zealand institution to be eligible.

The easiest way to confirm you’re a full-time student is to bring proof, before your first ski day, to one of our Guest Service Locations – Wānaka, Queenstown or on both mountains.

Show your student ID or proof to our team, who will activate your pass for the upcoming season. Please come in to see us before you head out for a ski; your pass won’t work at the gates until we’ve confirmed your eligibility.

We class a full-time student as being enrolled for a minimum of 32 weeks in one calendar year. To be eligible for a student pass you need to meet this minimum requirement and with a letter from your institution.

Guest Services needs to validate your eligibility for a student pass for it to be activated and scanned at the lift gates. If you have had a change of situation and are no longer a student, please reach out to Guest Services as soon as possible via phone or email to discuss options like upgrading your pass.

An Unlimited Season Pass is the most flexible pass to ski and ride any day of the season at Cardrona and Treble Cone, plus benefits on and off the mountain.

A Saver Season Pass allows you to ski and ride at Cardrona only, any day of the season, excluding the blackout period from 06 - 17 July, 2026.

To secure your pass, you’ll need to pay a $100 deposit upfront. The remaining balance will be equally split into the time between when you paid your deposit and the start of the season. You’ll be contacted with your payment dates when you pay your deposit. Learn more here.
